Michael Jackson’s funeral service will be the event of the year. If the suggested statistics are correct, more people will watch the televised service than Princess Diana’s. Think about it.

Princess Di’s funeral was attended by 250,000 people in London’s Hyde Park and was watched on TV by an estimated 2.5 billion people (a television record). I’m betting that Michael Jackson’s funeral will be watched by an easy 5 billion.

But what will be done with Michael Jackson’s body? Some sources are saying that Michael Jackson’s will demands that he be cremated and the ashes scattered on the moon. Yes. The moon.

But others think there will just be a simple (relatively speaking, of course) funeral service for the King of Pop. Michael Jackson’s parents, Joe and Katherine, and his eight sisters and brothers are currently overseeing the funeral preparations.

You can expect up to 500,000 fans from all over the world to line the streets of LA later this week. A televised Michael Jackson funeral service (with celebrity eulogists) will certainly be followed by a procession.

But will Michael Jackson’s body be buried at the Neverland Ranch? In a simple grave or an ornate tomb? Or will he really be launched into space?

Only time will tell.
